Imara swimmers take on the long-course challenge

The team returned from Nairobi with 15 medals and experience racing against clubs from across the region.

Imara swimmers competed at the May 2026 Kenya Aquatics National Long Course Swimming Championships at Kasarani in Nairobi, alongside more than 80 clubs from the region.

The team collected 15 medals: four gold, 10 silver and one bronze. Karla Mugisha reached multiple finals, while Victoria Saka reported personal bests in most of her races after adapting to the cold conditions.

The club later shared photographs celebrating its medal-winning athletes. For the swimmers, the meet offered a chance to test their training in a 50-metre pool against new competitors.
